Panel at Kingersheim RID

Debate Friday, April 26 / 20h-22h: 2030. After this date, the changes will be irremediable. What will we say to our children? Is this really the legacy we want to convey? Our ways of life, or rather of consumption, lead us to the unknown. We have 12 years left to embrace a vital transition. Rather than approaching the coming decade with fatalism, we suggest to approach it with kindness towards future generations. It would be reductive to address this necessary transition simply because of greenhouse gases. It’s about giving them an environment in which they can thrive.
Panelists: Audrey Pulvar, Anne Murat, Elena Lasida, Jean-Claude Mensch
Introduction: Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération, Jo Spiegel, Fabian Jordan

Panel at the ESSEC Edgar Morin Chair of the Complexity

Complex Thinking Day takes place on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm at the K-Lab on the ESSEC campus in Cergy.
The Practitioner Workshop “Intergenerational Workshop on Intergenerational Relations for a Sustainable Future”, from 3 pm to 6 pm, will be moderated by Laurent BIBARD, Professor at ESSEC Edgar Morin Chair of Complexity and Anne MURAT, Documentary Director, engaged in the intergenerational citizen movement #LesJoursHeureux.
Description: Intergenerational relations are becoming decisive for society and companies alike, for a healthy and flourishing economy, in transition to a sustainable world, welcoming for all in the long run. The various generations are now too often back-to-back due to misunderstandings, fears (relating for example to “digital natives”, those generations born with digital and incomparably more “agile” with new technologies than their elders), Misunderstandings … In the same way that intergenerational relations are decisive in liberating a sensible and lasting future, if they dysfunction they can slow down the liberation or even harm it. These relationships will be approached during this workshop of practitioners on the basis of a problematization of what intergenerational relations mean in general, and more practically, of what they currently contain. This, on the basis of an intergenerational co-animation by Laurent Bibard and Anne Murat.
